Are you really sure you no longer want a permanent contract?
Less interested in a permanent job and more in employability and career prospects. This is how Adecco presents its new research into the world of work
What has become of the myth of a permanent job? People are paying ever more attention to their careers, yet are less and less interested in the security offered by a permanent contract.
This is the finding of a study commissioned by Adecco and carried out by Community Media Research. In fact, more than half of those surveyed agree that, when choosing a job, career progression opportunities matter more than a permanent contract (56.9 per cent). These findings may also be due to changes in working conditions as perceived by Italians: for 39 per cent of the sample, mental and psychological stress in the workplace has worsened in recent years, whilst 33.6 per cent of respondents feel that their workload, in terms of pace and physical strain, is increasing.
