Community Group, a reputation management group founded and led by Auro Palomba, and Reputation Manager, a leading company in the analysis and management of the online reputation of brands and public figures, founded and led by Andrea Barchiesi, announce the launch of Reputation Science.
This innovative joint venture is the first company in Italy to to combine expertise in traditional and digital communication, providing clients with strategic and advisory support, based on a scientific and quantifiable methodological approach to reputation management.
Reputation Science will be able to draw on the expertise of a team of 80 professionals, including communications experts, engineers, crisis management consultants and analysts who, whilst working at Community Group and Reputation Manager, have built up a track record and acquired the skills that now place them amongst the very best in the market.
Reputation Science bases its strategic vision on rigorous data analysis supported by mathematical methods (data-driven strategy) and, drawing on the experience of its founding companies, is able to provide precise and concrete solutions – right from the analysis phase – to its clients’ communication and reputation challenges. In the new company, Auro Palomba takes up the post of Chairman, whilst Andrea Barchiesi takes up the post of CEO.
Reputation Science’s truly innovative methodology combines market research techniques – drawing on the expertise of Community Media Research – with digital ecosystem management – leveraging the engineering expertise of Reputation Manager. This enables its clients to gain a clear picture of the state of their reputation and the views of their stakeholders on specific issues. In particular, the integration of research methodologies will give Reputation Science’s clients access to in-depth knowledge of potential threats to their reputation in the market and will provide a scientific basis on which to build a coherent, rigorous and effective communication strategy.
“Every business, organisation or manager is well aware of just how crucial reputation is to their ability to pursue their growth objectives” – said Auro Palomba, Chairman of Reputation Science and Community Group. “With the explosion in internet access, the paradigms of communication have changed: remaining invisible is no longer a viable option, given that the media and communities – both online and offline – are increasingly able to shape our identity, even independently, if the flow of information is not managed. The ability to engage with one’s stakeholders,” continues Auro Palomba, “therefore renders the traditional divide between online and offline communication obsolete, and makes integrated reputation management increasingly necessary”. “The fundamentals have not changed: companies must be able to reach their audience in the arenas where reputation is formed, using new languages and new approaches. This scenario necessitates the adoption of a scientific and rigorous method, capable of capturing this complexity and enabling the definition of a wide-ranging reputation management strategy. These are the principles on which we have built Reputation Science,” concluded Palomba.
“We have always been firm believers in a scientific approach to communication, integrated into every stage of the reputation cycle: from defining the company’s communication objectives to the strategic plan for achieving them” commented Andrea Barchiesi, CEO of Reputation Science and Reputation Manager. “Reputation Science was founded with the aim of offering companies a very high standard of consultancy based on a holistic approach to reputation building”
