Community Group, the reputation management group founded and led by Auro Palomba, and Reputation Manager, the leading company in the analysis and management of brands and executives’ online reputations, led by Andrea Barchiesi, announce the creation of Reputation Science.
This innovative joint venture is the first Italian company to combine traditional and digital communication, providing its clients with strategic and consultancy support based on a scientific and measurable methodological approach to reputation management.
Reputation Science will draw on a team of 80 professionals comprising communications experts, engineers, crisis management consultants and analysts who have built up a proven track record and expertise whilst working at Community Group and Reputation Manager, enabling them to meet the highest industry standards.
Thanks to the expertise of its founding partners, Reputation Science bases its strategic approach on rigorous data analysis underpinned by a data-driven strategy, enabling it to provide precise and concrete solutions to its clients’ communication challenges, right from the analysis phase. Auro Palomba will be Chairman of the new company, whilst Andrea Barchiesi will take on the role of CEO.
Reputation Science’s highly innovative methodology integrates market research techniques – drawing on Community Media Research’s expertise – with the management of the digital ecosystem, supported by the engineering expertise provided by Reputation Manager. This offers its customers a clear picture of their reputation status, as well as of their stakeholders’ views on specific issues.
In particular, the combination of research methodologies will provide Reputation Science’s clients with in-depth insight into potential market threats affecting their reputations, and will serve as a scientific basis for establishing the foundations of a consistent, rigorous and effective communication strategy.
“Every company, institution or manager recognises that reputation is a crucial asset in achieving its growth objectives,” comments Auro Palomba, Chairman of Reputation Science and Community Group. “With the explosion in internet access, communication paradigms have changed: remaining invisible is no longer an option, as both the media and communities – online and offline – are increasingly able to shape our identity, even independently, when the flow of information is not managed properly. “The ability to engage with the right stakeholders,” continues Auro Palomba, “renders the traditional divide between online and offline communication obsolete; consequently, an integrated approach to reputation management is becoming increasingly essential. The fundamentals remain the same: companies must be able to reach their audience in the very places where reputation is shaped, using new languages and new approaches. This scenario necessitates a scientific and rigorous methodology capable of grasping this complexity in order to define a comprehensive reputation management strategy. These are the principles on which we founded Reputation Science,” concluded Palomba.
“We have always firmly believed in a scientific approach to communication, integrated into every phase of the reputation cycle: from defining a company’s communication objectives to designing the strategy required to achieve them,” commented Andrea Barchiesi, CEO of Reputation Science and Reputation Manager. “Reputation Science was founded with the aim of providing companies with a very high standard of consultancy, based on a holistic approach to building their reputation.”
