Last night saw the 15th Resiliente Talk, hosted by Vento&Associati and focusing on the new approaches to communication and storytelling that will characterise the post-Covid-19 era.
The talk focused on the concept of communication – both corporate and strategic – which was explored through a series of presentations, with an eye to the future: discussions centred on the ways in which communication will evolve, and how it might respond to the major changes brought about by the health crisis.
Among the key speakers at the event was Auro Palomba, Chairman of Community Group: “We are about to face a period of immense change, and the role of communication will be to help individual brands convey their values and the paradigm shift within the business. Things are no longer the same as they were three months ago.”
“Who will come out on top? As is always the case in times of crisis, the winners will be those with vision – and therefore those capable of adapting their approach to the changes taking place. Certainly, as far as businesses are concerned, those with liquidity will prevail: we are heading towards a major wave of mergers, so those who have been forward-thinking in the past will manage to weather this crisis well. Meanwhile, many other sectors will be forced to change ‘trade’; I’m thinking, for example, of the tourism or entertainment industries, which will have to devise ways to ensure their businesses can continue in a completely different manner. In this sense, those who manage to open up their companies to investment will also come out on top.”
“The key themes will be sustainability and inclusion: these were already present before, albeit in a latent form, and will certainly need to feature even more prominently in the lives of companies and, consequently, in their communications as well.”
