‘Food is driving the “Made in Italy” brand’

Round-table discussion with Ghisellini (Friuladria), Fantinel, Illy, Zoppas and Zanette

Verona – More dynamic and achieving better results. Companies in the agri-food sector in Veneto are performing more strongly than their counterparts in Friuli, which are also smaller on average and less focused on international markets. These are the most significant findings of the Monitor on the agri-food industry in Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, launched by Credit Agricole FriulAdria and Community Media Research (CMR), and presented yesterday at Vinitaly at the Prosecco DOC stand. The presentation of the data, led by Professor Daniele Marini, was followed by a round-table discussion, moderated by TG5 journalist Cesara Buonamici, with the participation of the chairman of the Illy Group, Riccardo Illy, the president of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, Stefano Zanette, the head of the Veneto Industrialists’ Association, Matteo Zoppas, and the vice-president of the San Daniele Ham Consortium, Stefano Fantinel. Roberto Ghisellini, General Manager of Credit Agricole FriulAdria, acted as host.
