Community announced today the appointment, with effect from 1 February, of Luca Di Leo as Senior Advisor for the sustainability projects undertaken by the Group’s clients. Di Leo will also support the work of the Sustainability Competence Centre, Italy’s first centre of expertise on sustainability and reputation, established in 2019 to support companies in developing sustainability projects that bolster their reputation and to accelerate the dissemination of sound expertise amongst various stakeholders.
Luca Di Leo is Director of Sustainability and Food at the European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability (EIIS) and an adjunct professor at Roma Tre University. For almost a decade, he held senior communications roles at Barilla and its Foundation, helping to transform the group into a global thought leader on sustainability issues. Previously, Luca worked as a reporter and editor for leading media organisations, including The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Dow Jones, Reuters and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
“We would like to welcome Luca Di Leo, a professional with solid and recognised expertise in sustainability; his expertise will bring added value and help us to strengthen an area in which the company has been investing for some time. We are convinced that the three key areas on which the future reputation of managers and companies will be built are digital, sustainability and inclusion – he commented Auro Palomba, Chairman and founder of Community – That is precisely why, at Community, we first explored the new frontiers of digital communication, founding Reputation Science, which specialises in reputation engineering. Community is also currently working towards achieving B Corp certification, a process that will lead us to place sustainability at the heart of all our initiatives, whilst also helping our clients and partners to follow the same virtuous path".
