“A majority of workers – 42 per cent – are proving to be ‘(r)innovative’, open to the changes introduced by Federmeccanica’s contract proposal.” This is the finding of the Mol-Monitor survey on employment entitled ‘Cautious (R)Innovators: workers, contracts, training and welfare’. It was conducted by Daniele Marini, a sociologist from Vicenza and director of CMR-Community Media Research for Federmeccanica, who presented the findings at the recent national assembly in Brescia.
‘Linking part of a salary to productivity, rather than setting a national minimum wage and leaving wage negotiations to be conducted at company level, are some of the measures that are very well received by the workforce.’
