To get an idea, one need only look at the city of Padua. Three years ago, at the 2014 election day, citizens voted in the same ballot box for both the PD leader Renzi at 41.4 per cent and the Leghist Bitonci at 31 per cent, who was then destined to become mayor in the runoff. Two years ago at the regional elections they voted for the Legazian Zaia at 43%, and at the constitutional referendum in December they voted no (thus against Renzi) at 53%. Now they have chosen the mayoral candidate Giordani of the centre-left. In short, there is no longer any religion in politics. And this is demonstrated by the new results of the survey carried out by sociologist Daniele Marini, scientific director of Community Media Research, in collaboration with Intesa SanPaolo-Cassa di Risparmio del Veneto: \"In spite of a widespread imagination, the people of the north-east are more attentive to politics than they think\". L’ELECTORATE MOVES 25 years after the end of the First Republic, the process of settling the national political system has not been consolidated: the electoral law affair itself teaches that changes of course are sudden and continuous. And that in the Northeast the relationship between citizens and politics is contrasted, Marini emphasises, is also borne out by the latest municipal elections: 'Attracted more by civic lists than by parties, how many went to vote. Tempted to abstain, the others'. Moral, the electorate is 'disoriented, sometimes disillusioned and detached.<\/p>\n
