by Eleonora Vallin PADUA: The scale of a business is the key driver of performance in the agri-food industry. This is the key finding to emerge from the report conducted by Community Media Research for Cr\u00e9dit Agricole Friuladria, presented yesterday by Daniele Marini and the bank\u2019s director, Roberto Ghisellini, alongside Giovanni Taliana, president of the Food Section of Confindustria Padova, and Pietro Biscontin of the FVG DOC Consortium and Cantina la Delizia. The survey covers the first half of 2016 and is based on a sample of 557 entrepreneurs from the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions. The agri-food industry in the north-east is doing well, and the outlook is also positive. Rising raw material costs are weighing on the profit and loss account, whilst prices for finished products remain stagnant: for 65.7 per cent of respondents, they have not increased.<\/p>\n
