Those who don\u2019t export struggle to stay afloat<\/p>\n
30 per cent of businesses in Friuli Venezia Giulia are struggling, particularly in the dairy sector. Investments in innovation are paying off<\/p>\n
by Elena Del Giudice \u2013 78.4 per cent of industrial companies in the agri-food sector based in Friuli Venezia Giulia have invested in process and product innovations. This trend is more pronounced among firms with access to foreign markets (79.3 per cent) than among those operating solely in the domestic market (70.5 per cent). The majority have increased these investments (upgrades) over the last three years: 51.3 per cent. This is one of the figures presented yesterday in Padua during the \u2018Monitor on the Agri-Food Industry in Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia\u2019, which examined the economic climate and focused on innovation, carried out by Community Media Research on behalf of Cr\u00e9dit Agricole FriulAdria. The research was presented by Daniele Marini, scientific director of Community Media Research; Roberto Ghisellini, managing director of FriulAdria; Giovanni Taliana of Confindustria Padova; and Pietro Biscontin, managing director of Cantine La Delizia in Casarsa and president of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia DOC Consortium.<\/p>\n
