Whilst it is true that, for 75 per cent of those surveyed, a permanent contract allows them to make plans and look to the future with confidence, it is even more true \u2013 and this is according to more than one in two workers (56.8 per cent) \u2013 that it is no longer the guarantee it was a few years ago, because it is now easier to make people redundant.
